Hole in the wall Part 1!

I have been hearing lots of ravings about this great place in Marikina so I was excited to eat there to see if it's really something to talk about. It's called Qizia Cafe and it's a hole in the wall cafe located in Concepcion, Marikina City. The food there are affordable and yummy. I'm not so sure but my friend told me that Qizia literally means good food.(Or something like that :p)☺

Beef Pesto

I love this pasta! This is their only pasta that I've tasted and I liked it very much! It's the right balance of cream and pesto that made me fall in love with it. And the beef tidbits put the amp to the dish. Put a little more salt and pepper then it's way to go! I'm so gonna order this for myself next time!☺ 

Crispy Pork Belly

This dish is dangerously delicious! It tastes so good and so bad for the health at the same time! What an evil dish! :p

Family size Nachos

How I wish their nachos have more salsa, cheese and ground beef. Plus it'd be more appealing if their dip would be a little thicker.☺

Qizia's House Special Pizza

This is a regular pizza that has everything on it! :p Well, it's pretty much overloaded with ingredients in a good way and I really gotta mention that I love thin crust pizza!☺

Seafood Chowder

I find this soup a little bland. There's something missing and I didn't get to know what because I merely tasted this a table spoonful. But I'm thinking that if they thicken this a little more, simmer it for a couple of minutes longer, the flavor will be more concentrated and it will taste better. And an herb wouldn't hurt too.☺ 

Tenderloin Steak

This is my own order and I find the steak kinda over grilled but it's bearable because the flavor of the meat won over the charcoal-y taste when you bite into it. I liked it so far.☺

Up up and away!☺

 Sometime this love month, a few friends and my cousin went for a little adventure. An unplanned one. We originally just wanted to go to Hot Air Balloon Festival in Pampanga but due to certain details, we end up road tripping from Montalban to Pampanga to Subic and back.☺

We happened to see a not so cute and not so little monkey(I'm not fond of animals) roaming around the street of Subic.☺

And we were eager like that! Stopping over just to take a photo w a no parking sign in Subic area. How pathetic and cute at the same time, right? :p

We ate picnic-style! So fun! We brought lotsa food to save some bucks and the experience was real nice.☺ 

So in love w the view and the wind effect of my hair! LOL. How I wish to have a vacation house near a beach someday.☺

This is how we do it!☺

I really can't wait to finish all my supposed January posts.☺ Anyway, one of my dear cousin turned legal last January 24 and she celebrated it at their house earlier on. It's a simple and crazy house party. I merely chose a few pics to save myself from lotsa shame. LOL! :p

  

After the 18 whatnots, we went to their still unfinished rooftop to party and dance the night away(drink, laugh and be crazy). Haha! Here I am striking a pose with Patty(in black tank) and Ressa.☺

Yes, I'm a LITTLE older than them, but who cares? Age is just a number and young is an attitude! Haha!(Defensive much!) Here's Jhillin & Lyka.☺

I don't usually see my high school friends for some reason that our schedule doesn't match or some of them are not in the country anymore. So when a friend is back in town for a short vacay, it's a must to see them for some catch up 101. :p

Ravonni is a friend back once upon a time, she's now based in Oz and visited Ph last December up to January.☺

We didn't know what to do after eating so we end up mall hopping and our last stop had been Eastwood. We originally wanted to watch a movie but the time slots are too late so we finally settled playing bowling.☺

It's crazy that when you don't have a planned itinerary or things to do, you end up spending so much more than your allotted budget! :p

After playing, we ate dinner Sizzlin' Pepper Steak! I like sizzling foods, Avon don't but we still ate here. Haha! We were joking the whole time that I was really the one who just got back! :D

That's the server's cue if you need anything, you just put the mooove on and they'll come to you.☺

It's not my first time to eat at SPS but I still find this cute.☺

DISCLAIMER: This isn't going to be a normal food blog review post 'cause I didn't taste all of the food, I can't comment about it. Food photo overload coming up!☺

The over all experience was okay, I like that the sizzle lasts for a long time but the downside is I noticed that the food is a little too dry. Anyhow, I can honestly say it's not the best nor the worst dinner of my life. It's mediocre.☺

Manyaman!♥

I've been posting catch up posts these past few days and these food indulging happened when I was still interning at Katre along Tomas Morato.☺

Teresita's is a sister restaurant of Razon's. Both came from Pampanga, so you can expect that they serve nice food in there. Kapampangans have special place in my heart, I find them endearing with no specific reason at all.☺

I tried their Halo Halo, for me to compare it with Razon's and they're actually alike but the one served in Teresita's has more ingredients. Both are delish!☺

I ordered Kare-Kare because it's my most favorite Filipino dish, ever, and I'm not disappointed at all! This Kare-Kare is peanut butter-y in a pleasing way and the meat is so tender, you don't need to exert a lot of effort in tearing it apart. The serving is quite big for 1 rice alone so I had to order another cup that time! :D (Real women are not afraid to have extra rice! :p)

Regular iced tea to complete the whole meal.☺

Savory & Sweets KoCCo!

I know I've already blogged about Kitchen of Coffee and Cakes here but there's so much KoCCo offers that it really deserves a second post.☺

Roast Beef

I love roast beef, that's a fact about me!☺ And I can honestly say, what KoCCo offers is a safe one. There's nothing special about it and it is not awful at the same time. It's simply just safe.☺

Chocolate Torte

I fell in love with this torte! It's so delicious I want to have another slice of it then and there though I was already full. When I took my first bite, I felt like I have died and went to cake heaven! It's that good!♥

Mango Walnut Torte

This is one of their best seller and I didn't wonder why when I got to taste it. It's also good though I will choose the Chocolate Torte over this one or a slice of both will just be perfect for me! :p

Out of all the places in Tomas Morato, I have stayed a lot of time in KoCCo during my ojt. I think that's a good sign, right? Because I can't help but to come back. ;) Their food, savory or sweets, hot or cold, are good enough and affordable.☺ I'm ending this post with a quote from Bill Waterson.☺

You can never go wrong with cheese & chocolate.☺

One afternoon while I was still on ojt, I ate merienda(snack in between lunch & dinner) at Cheesecake etc. It's located along Tomas Morato, across Brother's Burger.☺

I love shops who has this kind of thing where if you need something from the server, all you have to do is just press the button and they'll come right away. It's hassle free and more convenient than calling them by raising your hand until they notice you.

Double Choco Malt

This is so chocolate-y. Yeah a lot like our favorite Chuckie or Choc-O but better. You'll love this drink because I actually did!☺ 

White Chocolate Pistachio

This cheesecake is part of their Low Fat cakes in their menu so it's actually guilt free but not sacrificing the flavor because it's hell good and I looooove it! It isn't too sweet and neither too heavy, it's just perfectly right.☺

Forget love... I'd rather fall in chocolate!☺

Since it's Valentine's day today, I'm gonna talk about one of my favorite chocolates on earth... Timtam!♥ (Hoping to receive tons of Timtam next Valentine's. Haha!)

I'm actually fond of chocolates with wafers so when I get to taste Timtam for the first time I actually fell in love with it. And I instantly know that this love is going to last forever! Haha! :p But there's one problem I'm facing right now, as far as I know, there's no available store that sell Timtam here in the Philippines. It's saddening! Anyway, a good friend of mine went home from Oz last December and she gave me 3 packs. Yehey!☺ (Thanks & love you Avon!☺)

I love dark chocolate, of all the types of chocolates it's my most favorite. I love the bitter taste at the end that balances the sweetness of the chocolate. It's so my taste!☺ I love this flavor of Timtam, I can't help myself that I finished it all!

And this one I didn't like the most, it's too sweet for me. I'm really not a super fan of milk chocolates. There were days that I like it, and there are days that I don't.

I actually believe the saying that nothing beats the original. This is pure love and I'm saying that from the bottom of my heart. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. Oh, I'm craving for this now, no kidding!!!

On the other hand, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!☺ It's for everyone that believes in love, all kinds of love. And if by chance that you're feeling sad, just remember this quote by Jareb Teague..

Hello!☺

I have been missing in action for over a month because I've been really busy with my internship and my rest days are spent lazing my arse off in our house. Thankfully, my on the job training's already done and I plan to update as much as I can again.☺


There are a lot of things happening in my life now that I almost forgot about my blog but I promise to be right back on track when it comes to updating my site. I will put up some pending posts and try to catch everything up this week.☺
