First week of school

As I've said in my recent post, I started coming to my new school last monday, December 6, 2010. And hell, since then I enjoyed every single day. No pretensions, new school, new environment, new friends. It's normal that first week of school is the awkward-getting-to-know stage in gaining friends. I'm actually lucky enough that my high school friend, Stella Monreal, has been going to the same school so that's some kind of an edge. :)

Working shoes/Chef's shoes

I don't have pants that's why I bought because we're required to wear black pants and white shirt until the uniform's given.

My book, chef's knife, pairing knife, and steel.

GCHA's loot bag.

Student's handbook.

Locker key.

My cousin fitted my uniform.

I was really excited to fit my uniform but when I already did, I got dismayed. Haha. I am so plump!!!

XOXO

Varieties of Cheese

Cheese is a food made from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep, by coagulation. The milk is acidified, typically with a bacterial culture, then the addition of the enzyme rennet or a substitute (e.g. acetic acid or vinegar) causes coagulation, to give "curds and whey". Some cheeses also have molds, either on the outer rind (similar to a fruit peel) or throughout. Cheese can be good addition to your food. -SOURCE-

STILTON CHEESE (They say this is a Roquefort cheese with a college education. I laughed when I heard that actually. It's funny right? Or am I weird? Haha)

ROQUEFORT CHEESE (The dark ones in the cheese are actually molds. Eew right? But they're hell expensive!)

PROVOLONE CHEESE

PARMESAN CHEESE (I love Parmesan! I swear do!)

MOZARELLA CHEESE (Used in Pizza.)

GOUDA CHEESE (Also known as Queso De Bola.)

GORGONZOLA CHEESE (Chef B said when it's your first time to try Blue vein cheese, you should start with this one because it's the mildest among the group then after tasting it, make your way up and taste the other.)

GOAT CHEESE (Also known as Chevre)

FETA CHEESE

EMMENTAL CHEESE (Jerry's cheese in Tom & Jerry cartoon)

CREAM CHEESE

CHEDDAR CHEESE (The most popular cheese!)

So I already finished my first week in school. It went fine. I was actually enjoying the information overload though I sometimes think if I can remember all the things that were being taught. I have to. No, I actually want to remember all of it by heart because I need them in the profession I want to pursue. Everything I have learned in my first week and everything I'm going to learn in the following weeks are very important. There's no such thing as not included, everything is critically needed.

So last thursday, December 09, 2010, we tackled about Cheeses. And I super enjoyed the discussion: first because Chef Brando is such a cool Chef instructor, he utter jokes once in a while and there's just so much knowledge he can and willing to share, second is because I'm really into cheese. Actually not just me, I think my whole family is into it that's why I decided to blog the information. There's just so many varieties of cheese to choose from, let us not stick with Cheddar and Gouda which are the two most commonly used. It's good to widen our tasting capacity and try everything else. So right now, I'm planning to buy different types of cheese to taste it. It's actually for me, Chefs has been telling us to broaden the horizon of our taste buds and I really can't wait to start from these cheeses. ♥

I have always love talking in becky's language. I think it's fun and very Filipino. I used to learn gay lingo from my older sister's wonderful gay friends and I even asked them to teach me the words close to 4 years ago. Some of the terms I learned are not in the article so here are they:

Adez = money.

Merlat = girl, lady or woman.

Ombre = boy, guy or man.

Wainichi = nothing or none.

Stressed Drilon = over-worked, overloaded.

Smelanie Marquez = pertaining to bad odor.

Fresh = someone who has a good aura or someone who is good-looking.

Dry = disappointment.

Antokyo Japan = feeling sleepy.

Luz Valdez = lose or lost.

Pagoda = tired.

Itembang = this.

Ditez = here.

Duonen = there.

Crayola = cry.

That's all folks. I hope you've learned something. Haha. ♥

Pants

I don't wear pants. I'm uncomfortable wearing one. It isn't about my beliefs or whatever. I just don't know why but I'm more comfortable with skirts, dresses and shorts but never a pants. Sounds crazy right? But it's so true. So I have a burden right now, 'cause I have to wear black pants and white shirt for my new school until our uniforms are given. How uncool is that? Atleast for me. And I think I have to wait a little longer for my uniform 'cause I enrolled just last week and the start of our class is already on Monday, December 6, 2010. I have not yet bought a pair but I really have to. Maybe it's time that I should learn how to wear pants. Oh, I wish I can be comfortable with it as I am with my dresses and skirts!

Ain't no rest for the wicked

I have been pretty busy these past few days. I'm always out and when it's time for me to check on my sites, I'm too tired or should I say too lazy to even put up a decent blog post. I have been busy due to school stuff, I went to my old school(CEU) for two consecutive days for the release of my TOR. I can't wait to get it! Getting it means I'm totally freed from that school. And I'm dying to be!! The other days, I went to my new school(GCHA): a day for my interview, another day for paying my tuition fee and another one for my orientation. I have not been taking photos due to stress and all. I'm actually so nervous before my interview but it ended just fine and I laughed at myself for torturing myself in being nervous. I got nervous too before my orientation 'cause I don't know what will going to happen but it was just merely an orientation for freshmen. Literally explaining the rules and regulations of the school and also the grading system etc etc. I already met who will be my classmates starting on Monday(December 6, 2010) and I so hope to have great friends among them. Wish me luck for monday! :)

Welcome to my new school! ♥
