Rai Rai Ken

My cousin/foodie buddy and I ran errands earlier this morning after which we decided to eat in Cubao. We end up being in Alimall so exhausted because it's lunch time when we walked all over the place finding the perfect food to eat. Being two Japanese food lover, we decided to try Rai Rai Ken. ☺

The menu. ☺
Their prices ranges from 150-350. A good eat as of my preference!

Mango Juice for me and Iced Tea for my cousin. ☺
Nothing special for these two. The mango juice was the canned one, just transferred into an iced glass.

Miso soup. ☺
Nothing special for this too and it was already included with my order. I love that it was served piping hot!

Rai Rai Bento. ☺
This is what I ordered. The beef was my favorite out of all the three viands in the bento. I also appreciated that the shrimps in their tempura were deveined, just how it was supposed to be! The chicken lollipop was kinda bland in terms of flavor and I personally don't like gyoza so I didn't eat any.

Garlic Chilli Ramen
This was my cousin's order. She made me taste it and I like it! It was also served hot(Check!) and the flavor is awesome. The chilli was just enough to satisfy your spicyness' desire but I didn't actually remembered tasting anything garlic-y.

Gyoza. ☺
The restaurant has their on going promo that when you buy a gyoza and a ramen, the ramen would be charged just 50%. So we did that for us to save some penny.

Yasa itame. ☺
I liked this one! It was a stir fry mixed veggies with strips of chicken. It has this smoky flavor that I love plus the veggies were cooked just right--half cooked!

Before going home, we stopped by The White Hat to grab some fro-yo. I picked The Baker's Hat that consisted cheesecake, almonds and blueberry while I forgot what my cousin picked for herself though it has brownies, white chocolate chips and supposedly walnuts but omitted because my cousin doesn't eat any kind of nuts. ☺

Fuzione

This has been a delayed post. I should've posted this the day we ate at this small local cafe here in our place and it's called Fuzione, hence with the title. My cousin and I ate on the said establishment after buying some stuff at Robinson's Supermarket. ☺

"Life is short. Eat dessert first."

I've always liked the quote above, because (a.) I love dessert that I want to eat it first. (b.) I don't wanna just go with the flow and follow what everyone has been doing. (c.) Admit it, it's true that life is really short and might as well take that heavenly slice of cake into your grumbling tummy before what not could happen. So that's what I did!

Choco Caramel Cake
Diabetes alert! It's too sweet I think I had a sugar rush. Oh but don't jump into conclusion, I didn't even for a second regret eating it though I know as a baker(I've always wanted to call myself that!), this could have been better. I prefer a softer crumbs and moister cake. ☺

Chicken Buffalo Wings
My pig out buddy/cousin/confidante ate this and I didn't know how it tastes like and I forgot to ask her but she finished everything so maybe that's her cue. And it looks yummy right? ☺

Chicken Teriyaki
This is a good and safe order so I was kinda disappointed with how it tasted like! I actually didn't like their Teriyaki sauce, it's too sweet and under-seasoned with salt and pepper. I think they need to adjust the sauce if they want their customers to keep coming back. ☺

'Til next time! ☺

NEWSFLASH: My never ending marathon. ☺

This is actually a part of my life now. I can't imagine myself not seeing one for a week or two. I can definitely watch over DVDs or DL-ed ones only but of course nothing beats watching at the cinema. This is what's keeping me sane along with listening to music. ☺

So these are what I've watched that I haven't blogged yet because when I like a movie, I tend to watch it over and over again. And for the record, while Harry Potter fans watches the series infinitely, I watch Sex and the City movies when I got nothing to do or when I'm undecided what to watch. Yes, I'm obsessed with those four fabulous girls! Aren't you informed? lol

DISCLAIMER: All the photos were grabbed from Google. ☺

I've always, and I mean always admire Chanel, THE brand. That's why I decided to watch this movie to get to know more the woman behind the famous brand everyone admire. The movie is called Coco Before Chanel and I love it! I liked the brand more because it's actually the fruit of her hard-work and great tactic in life. She wore comfortable black colored jumpsuits and a simple hat while every woman that time wore light colored corseted ball gowns and a feathery hat. I was so inspired and I so adore Gabrielle Coco Chanel! ☺

I can't believe that I've only watched this movie once. It's a good one! There were lines along the movie that struck me. And well, who doesn't love that Grow Old With You song? Adam Sandler is really a good romantic comedy actor. I like his films, those few movies that'll make you laugh and say "aaaaw" in between an hour and thirty. A must watch for hopeless romantics out there! ☺

This movie made me realize that no one knows it all when it comes to love. Even those people who give the best advises doesn't literally know what to do when love caught them. Another thing I've somewhat learned if you may call it that--love can be found in the most unlikely places, unlikely time and unlikely people. And sometimes what you dreamed for all your life is not exactly what is meant for you after all. Watch it and you will know what I mean. ☺

I planned watching this one because I was so curious about Jean, the mother in the movie which is a baker. I love baking and I wanna own a bakeshop too! ☺ Anyway, there are tons of lines I loved in this movie and the movie as per se is looooooove! Enough said. ☺ And because I love this movie so much, I'm gonna end this post with what Jean said...

"That's all I'm looking for, my own good combo. Someone I can bring out the best in and someone that brings out the best in me."

'Til next time! ☺

2 Birthdays = Very Happy Tummy ☺

Last Saturday, August 13, a dear friend celebrated her birthday. Just a usual Filipino celebration, dinner then bonding with drinks afterwards. It's very laid back and the celebrant just invited her few good old friends. ☺

I've gained weight, yes. I'm the laziest person ever! I sleep and eat a lot. Boo.

I didn't drink even a shot that night! I'm really not a drinker, I just love to hang out and bond with friends that's why I go to celebrations like this. ☺

 The whole kaboodle!! ☺
(L-R) Myself, Jam, Rhendol, Sam(celebrant), Nins, Aissa, Doreen, Angel. ☺

Food that night: Spaghetti, Grilled Liempo, Buffalo Wings & Caldereta. ☺

There's never a dull moment when I'm with them! I merely laughed the whole night!
Jam & Angel trying out planking & jebbing. lol

------------------------♥----------------------

And last August 15, we surprised Nanay(mom) for a simple celebration of her birthday. She's not the type who celebrates her birthday that's why Ate and I decided to make a little gathering for her. This happened in our water station hence with the background of the photos. :D

Nanay with her apos(granddaughter/son), Changchang Gotiangco & Noah Diaz. ☺

A Primablend(a local bakeshop in our place) cake from my Ate's boyfriend, Nins. ☺

Ate and I with the 36" pizza. YUM! Ate took a cab from Libis to our place just for this gigantic pizza. ☺

Gotta love these 2 kids! ♥

Big Guys! Pizza located at Libis, QC. This 36" costs Php 1,398 to be exact. It's affordable, new concept and yummy. So worth it! ☺

Pancit Malabon from Dolores. This is their largest serving and it costs Php 850. It's also delish though the toppings for me is quite not enough for the large amount of noodles. ☺

I made 100 cream puffs that day! This is the only decent photo I had though. Everyone loved it! Nothing was put into waste, the kids, the teens and the adults liked it! I got so kilig and inspired! Love it! ♥ ☺ ♥

With my childhood friend, Heidi and my cousin, Irisse. ☺ Oiliness at its best! lol

Nanay blowing her cake! ♥ I hope we made her happy. I love her so much! She's the most important woman in my life and I wish her all the happiness in the world and good health! ☺

I don't get to spend much time with my friends and my relatives. Our schedules don't actually go together but I really love times like these. And I can sum it up in one word: HAPPINESS! ♥ Ending this post by what Oprah Winfrey once said...

"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more it is in life to celebrate."

It's a thin line between love and friendship.

DISCLAIMER: All the photos were copied from either Tumblr or Google. ☺

I really wanted to watch this movie ever since I heard about it, so I was so happy when my cousin had a copy of it and I instantly planned to watch it tonight. The story is kind a complicated yet it's lovely. Well, I think lovely is an understatement. The movie is indeed more than that! I love it! To bits! ☺

(L-R) Ethan, Rachel, Darcy, Dex. They are all different, just like how it is in reality. Maybe that's why I loved the movie, it's realistic. ☺

Best girl friends, Darcy & Rachel. ☺

As much as I don't wanna spoil anything, I really can't help but to mention that I cried when Ethan confessed to Rachel. He's a great guy! I instantly wanted them to end up together! Really. Or at least I wished(while crying) I have my own Ethan. Or am I just too blinded to see? Haha! :p

I think I don't need to say who ended up with who.. better figure out yourself! It's worth the time, energy, effort and whatever you think might be wasted.☺

♥ SOMETHING BORROWED ♥
It's a thin line between love and friendship.
I can't wait to read the book! I'm gonna read it after I finished the book I'm reading right now. ☺

I learned something from this film, it's that we have to take a stand, we have to decide for ourselves not because someone wants us to. I know for a fact that it's normal that our decisions in life are deeply affected by what will other people say or think but really it's important to make a decision thinking only about ourselves. Deciding out of what we like, out of what will make us happy, out of what we think is good for us. It's nice to think of other people once in a while but we don't need to live our life for them. It isn't called OUR life for nothing. ☺

Some would think just how cliche this sentence is but a lot of times in our lives, we just settle for what's easy and forgetting that we deserve better, that...

"...WE DESERVE TO BE HAPPY."

Post Birthday Celeb. ☺

It has been 14 days late yet I've always believed in the saying, it's better late than never. :p So I somewhat celebrated my birthday by eating out with my cousin and my sister. It has been really spontaneous, very much like me. I'm a sucker of planning and I really love spur of the moment happenings. ☺ I treated both of them to a super wonderful lunch at Sambo Kojin Eastwood, an eat-and-grill-all-you-can Japanese restaurant, after we got our student permits. I wanted to eat there for as far as I can remember and I thought it was the best time to do so. ☺ Anyway, just so you know I'm really a bad blogger, I always have a bad photos. My apology. :p

My cousin and my older sister. ☺

The smokeless grill. ☺

I hate myself here. I look like crap! Well, I always look like one when I'm hungry. Oh correction, starving is the right term. :p It's like being torn in wanting to smile for the photo and wanting to take that food on my mouth. Haha!

I only got a few photos of what we ate but we really indulge that time. We were so full afterwards! Every penny was so worth it! ♥

I love Japanese food especially yakiniku! I really do! ☺ At the middle of my meal, I had to eat a sweet because I wanted to revitalize my palate to eat more. :D

Iris and I took advantage of the grill. We both ate tons! The food is so good I can't even remember how many times I had to go back to the table to get more food. ☺

Grilling time. ☺

Enjoying the grill. It's fun to grill your own food because we all have different preferences on how we like it done. ☺

This is my empty bowl of chocolate ice cream. It was so good that we ended up getting another round of it! ☺

Fan Girl Alert!!

Earlier after my appointment in school, I went straight to Gateway Mall to meet my cousin Ressa, we planned to watch an indie film entitled Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank. My cousin has a huge crush with Kean Cipriano and I like JM De Guzman which both are actors in the film. It was its premier night and we thought we could watch the movie together with the stars of the film but we just got to pay a little more than what is normal. To our dismay, a premier night is for invites only. We decided to eat instead and wait for the stars walk on the red carpet. ☺ We didn't regret standing for several minutes! We saw some local artists that made me forget that I had to go home already. lol. Here are some of them:

DISCLAIMER: All the photos were copied from  Google. ☺

Richard Poon. *wink* He looks good! Clean cut, clean shaven, he looks like he smells good. Plus I've watched his concert already, he's a great performer! ☺

Enchong Dee. *blush* Seriously, he's gorgeous and seems like he's nice. He smiles and waves at his fans. I love his smile, it's to die for! :p ♥

JM De Guzman. *faints* I'm speechless. I've liked him since his Midnight Phantom days. 'Nuff said! ♥

Renz Fernandez. When he walked on the red carpet, he's with his Kuya Rap Fernandez, mom Lorna Tolentino and Pokwang. I got shocked because he really looks pretty! But I guess he's snob. I wish I'm wrong! Oh well.

Sam Milby. *hearing my heartbeat* Out of all the men that I've seen today, he is indeed my favorite! I swear he's my type! lol. I love his over all look, very manly. He's the type that you wanna be with when you get stranded in an island. And he's nice, no joke. I think I fell in love with him awhile ago! Hahaha! He is now my top local celebrity crush! And I just followed him in twitter. :p

Gorgeous men overload! Oh my gosh, I just died! :p I hope to see them all soon especially Sam! ☺ Too bad for my cousin, his love Kean Cipriano is not present. Any, there's always a next time! It was fun looking at these appealing men...

"It made me escape reality even just for a while." ☺

Love,

Spirals ☺

DISCLAIMER: The photo was copied from  Tumblr. ☺

This photo will have a great impact in my life soon enough. I hope to do well! Wish me all the luck! I'm actually nervous, excited, worried, happy, and anxious all at the same time. Yes, I'm that weird! :p I can't spill anything yet because nothing's sure though there are lots of clues in this post. *hint hint* :D All I can do now is wait, hope, wish and pray. ♥

"God will never give you more than you can handle."
