Music Monday

A few days ago, the world wide web buzzed like never before because Adele dropped a new song with a video after years of hiatus.  She pulled a Beyonce on everyone.  Well, sort of.  She posted a snippet of the song a few days before dropping it and she also announced the date of the release of her upcoming album, 25.  I can't believe she's just 25, her songs doesn't feel like it.  She's on another level of greatness and this song of hers, Hello, is nothing short of amazing.  I couldn't stop listening though it's really making me sad.  Everything about it is captivating!  I can't wait for the whole album.  If this song is the standard of the album, I'm pretty sure she's up for a Brit or a Grammy soon. :)

P.S. I like her "age" albums, it's easy to remember, it sticks, and it's her life through songs compiled in an album.  It's personal.

I was not really aware of Naughty Boy's existence before Sam Smith but I'm actually impressed with his music.  His music is tasteful and it's really good.  I like this one in particular because I miss hearing Beyonce sing a slow ballad.  I've come across it while I'm video hopping on youtube and I got hooked! :)

Music Monday

Came across Halsey a month or two ago and I've been obsessed with her music ever since. I can't believe she's just 21. How does she channel all of that? It's crazy how talented she is! I also dig that Halsey is an anagram of her real name Ashley. How cool is that?! I'm totally fangirling and I'm not even ashamed. Haha :D To top that off, I saw on tumblr that her Badlands tour's theme is travel! Like there's a passport with stamp, boarding pass as a venue ticket, a screen showing boarding times in the lobby etc. I don't know if those were true, but if it were, I'm totally sold! Attending a concert is one of the best times of a fan's life; experiencing these things will be euphoric and having some kind of a memorabilia to take home other than ticket stub is freaking amazing! Believe me, I know. I love discovering new artists. It's one of life's simple joys. :)

Last year, around September, I stopped updating this blog and I can't remember my reason. I loved this outlet of mine and I wonder if I can pick up where I left off. Or maybe I should just leave it as it is. I'll think about it.
A year has passed yet there's no big changes in my life. I'm still in school, still in love with food, still watching those tv shows, still obsessed with music, still in awe of literature, still here, still single, and still trying to catch up with life. Everyone's life seems to be changing, except mine. I might have to do something about that. Soon.
